For decades, Jen has volunteered at a number of different animal rescues and shelters, up and down the east coast. She also works in the world of animal welfare.
When trying to help a rescue in the Southeast USA find rescue partners in the Northeast USA, it became apparent to Jen that there is an absence of resources and networking opportunities available in one place for rescues and shelters to draw upon. She created the Podcast “Every Day Heroes for Animals” to bridge that gap, and to also have open discussions on how to best support shelters and rescues in the Southeast to, in turn, save the lives of more animals.
There is also a need for more foster families. By launching Maxwell’s Mission, her hope is to help alleviate the need for fosters, by providing foster families in Maryland that dogs in the Southeast can be transported to.
Jen’s husband is a pilot and volunteers his time and plane for
Pilots N Paws. They live with their two rescue dogs in Maryland.
